Many businesses send instructions/details with Purchase Orders. With character limitation entering these details in purchase lines don't work. Having a free text field is handy, users can easily copy and paste the details in the purchase order.

We send a lot of details to vendors with Purchase Orders, adding these details at lines didn't work. We ended up creating a blob field for this where users can copy and paste the details, the details are printed along with the purchase order. Users can also check the details when they receive goods. These details are also saved in posted purchase invoices for future reference.
